Hematoid Quartz is defined as a single Quartz point or cluster that contains a heavy concentration of Hematite and/or Limonite. This concentration will generally appear as:

1. dense dustings and/or stains on the outside of the quartz crystals or clusters OR
2. colorful inclusions (dots, drips, phantoms or overall color change) within the quartz crystals or clusters.
