Watch unremarkable grey turn green goddess under short wave uv light!
These Geodes comes from the Trancas Mine in Chihuahua, Mexico. The crystals inside this geode will glow green under a short wave UV light. They are also known as the “Chihuahua Geode”. They tend to look like a miniature cavern, stalagetites and stalagmites are common. The primary Crystal is white quartz and the Seconday crystals can be fluorite, quartz and Calcite.
The UV reaction in these geodes is cause by trace amounts of uranium (extremely low unharmful levels). As with all raw minerals, please don’t put them in your mouth or treat them as baby toys. Use your best judgment.
